Hi Jerry – check your email. I sent you an email.
On another note, one thing I wanted to tell you is when on Sky the next cruise after your daughter’s wedding we were onboard. We were getting ready for dinner in our stateroom after a day in Belize and the entire ship lost power. It was out for about 4 – 5 minutes. I ALWAYS keep a flashlight (Olight) with a magnetic bottom on the wall in our room. We’ve used it to find dropped meds to lost socks but boy it came in handy. The most surprising part was how black your balcony room is after dark and how quickly it gets hot! The Captain said they dropped anchor again as we were just leaving and said he’d keep us informed. We left about an hour later and we’re never told anything further. I thought you’d find this interesting as it’s the first time it’s ever happened to us in about 40 cruises.
Very interesting! The same thing happened to us on a Carnival cruise while in port at Roatan. We were in an inside cabin, and it was black. We rushed back to the cabin to grab our medicine, passports and cash – it was very dark in an inside cabin! People were stuck in the elevators, and there was no announcement. Our plan was to get to an open deck and assess what was going on. In about 5-10min the power returned, and there never was an announcement about what happened. We agree that cruises should be more transparent about these events – at least to settle the passengers’ nerves.
This made me add a small flashlight to my future packing list. You just never know.
I’m not sure if you’ve covered this before, but I’m curious about purchasing Carnival shares. Does it work for Canadian residents? Thanks.
Yes it applies to everyone that has 100 shares of the stock – regardless of nationality. You would of course need some sort of broker or online investment house to help you buy the stocks.
Once you have the stocks then you have to email the cruise line with proof and then they give the appropriate onboard credit.
